Welcome to the CHER project

CHER is an energy from waste facility that will recover energy by processing around 230,000 tonnes of West Sussex’s non-recyclable waste every year. It will generate up to 23MW of low carbon electricity and steam, enough energy to power the equivalent of approximately 47,000 homes.

Explore this site to find out more about the facility.
